FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: How long does the session need to be?
A: 45 minutes is the minimum requirement for a session and we recommend an ideal length of 1 hr - 1 hr 30 mins per class.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: The cost varies depending on timing, location and size of class however, typically, the cost works out at an average of £7.50 per student per session.
Q: What size area would we need to provide?
A: An indoor area roughly the size of a badminton court. High ceilings are a must, as is a non-slip floor.
Q: What is the maximum class size?
A: 12 students
Q: Are there any restrictions on age?
A: The youngest we will accept is 6 years old and we recommend foam sabre classes for ages 6-8.
Q: What kit will they need?
A: We provide all of the kit that is required for the sessions. We follow the British Fencing AssociationsSafety Guidelines and the kit provided for CEN 1 and CEN2 as required. This does not include breeches, and these are the first item of kit that we recommend that parents purchase if they wish to do so.
Q How do I organise a session in my school?
A: When there is availability, we offer free taster sessions for new schools at the beginning of the Autumn and Summer Terms. These can take place before, during or after school. We will also sometimes come in to assemblies for demonstrations, as well as helping to prepare marketing or administrative material.
